  • Northwood got on the board for the first time this season around midway through the first half, with freshman Will Haines (Hereford, England/Hartpury College) burying a shot from the middle of the area.
  • Northwood then got the all-important second goal. Junior Bryan Lawson (Troy, Mich./Athens) feathered a pass inside the box to first-year player Andy Behring (Romeo, Mich./Romeo), who settled the ball down and tucked it in on the right side for his first goal of the season at 58:08.
  • St. Joseph's goaltender Adam Whybrow kept the Pumas in the contest making a few tremendous saves, including one on junior James Vaughan (Bexhill, England/St. Richards).
