Men's Cross Country Gets Picked To Finish Fourth In GMAC Coaches' Poll
2022 GMAC Preseason Coaches Poll
MIDLAND, MICH. – The Northwood University men's cross country team has been picked to finish fourth in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (GMAC), according to the preseason coaches' poll which was released Wednesday (August 31).
This is Northwood's first season in the GMAC, having officially become a member of the conference on August 1.
Northwood finished the voting with 84 points. Walsh, last year's conference champion, was picked to repeat with 121 points and 11 first-place votes. Cedarville (109 points – one first place vote) and Findlay (94 points) rounded out the top three respectively.
Senior standout, Zane Aldrich, ran a 30:09.00 10K last season to earn an automatic bid to NCAA. All eyes will be on Aldrich as he tries to repeat this season.
Northwood will open its 2022 season with the Northwood Invitational here in Midland. The Invitational is scheduled for Saturday, September 10 with the men's collegiate races beginning at 11:30 am.
