Women's Golf Claims Embry Riddle Invitational

The Northwood University women's golf team opened the spring portion of their schedule by sharing the title at the Embry Riddle Invitational Tuesday afternoon (March 12).

The two-day, 36-hole event was held at the North Course at Antelope Hills.  The course played as a 6,129 yard, par-72.

Northwood shot 321-319 to finish at 640 overall.  Host Embry Riddle shared the title with the Timberwolves with rounds of 328-312.

Senior Brittany Davidson (Mississauga, Ont.) led the way for the Timberwolves placing second overall at 155 (79-76).  Sophomore Emily Vergin (Milford, Mich.) had a strong event for Northwood, tying for fifth overall with rounds of 77-82.  Kim Brown (Lapeer, Mich./West) tied for sixth at 161 (82-79).

Northwood will compete at the Perry Park Spring Invite March 23-24.
