Volleyball Signs Sydney Hasenfratz To National Letter of Intent

MIDLAND, MICH. – The Northwood University volleyball team has announced the signing of Sydney Hasenfratz to a National Letter of Intent.

Hasenfratz is a 6-3 middle blocker from Clarkston, Michigan.

"We are excited to have her join the team," said Northwood Head Volleyball Coach Dave Shumaker. "She is a physical middle blocker who has a great work rate.  She takes pride in her blocking and transition hitting.   We are expecting big things out of Sydney."

A three-year letter winner in volleyball at Clarkston, Hasenfratz currently serves as one of her team captains.   She is also a three-time Academic All-State athlete.  

Hasenfratz played club volleyball for various clubs throughout the state, She was recruited by Coach Shumaker while she played for the Five1 Volleyball Club out of Clio, MI.  She is in her final year of club ball at Legacy.

She is planning on majoring in Finance at Northwood.    She chose the school for its excellent business program and opportunity to be a part of a competitive volleyball program.
