Men's Basketball Picked To Finish Fifth In GLIAC South
2017-18 GLIAC MEN'S BASKETBALL PRESEASON COACHES' POLL SITE
MIDLAND, MICH. - The Northwood University men's basketball team was picked to finish fifth in the South Division of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Preseason Coaches' Poll, which the league released Wednesday (October 25).
Voting was done by the head coaches of the 12 teams around the GLIAC.
This will be the first time since the 2009-10 season that Northwood will be in the South Division.
Ashland was picked to win the South Division with 63 points, followed by Wayne State at 58 points. Ferris State was picked to win the North Division with 66 points, followed by Lake Superior State at 51 points.
Northwood will opens its season with exhibition games against Central Michigan (November 5) and Nebraska (November 7). NU will open its season at Indianapolis Friday (November 10) at 5:30 p.m.
