Myles Beale and Tyler Sager Earn All-Midwest Region Honors
MIDLAND, MICH. – Senior outfielder Myles Beale and junior starting pitcher Tyler Sager from the Northwood University Baseball team earned All-Midwest Region honors from a variety of sources for their efforts in the 2025 baseball season.
Beale was named First Team All-Region by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) while earning Second Team honors from both the National College Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) and the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA). Sager earned Second Team honors from the ABCA and NCBWA.
Beale, the co-Great Midwest Athletic Conference Player of the Year, wrapped up his record-breaking career by hitting .364 with seven home runs and 41 RBIs in 2025. He finished the season with a .505 on-base percentage and a .564 slugging percentage. This season, Beale set program records for runs in a season (75), walks in a season (51), runs in a career (220) and walks in a career (171). He finished the season leading the G-MAC in runs scored, hits, walks while ranking third in batting average, second in on-base percentage and third in OPS (1.069).
Sager finished the season with a 9-1 record to go with a 3.61 ERA. He struck out 66 batters while walking 22 in 94 2/3 innings of work. Sager led the G-MAC lin wins and innings pitched while standing fourth in ERA. He tossed a no-hitter against Lake Erie April 12, earning him NCBWA Division II Pitcher of the Week honors.
Northwood made history in 2025, earning its first Midwest Region Championship in program history. The Timberwolves also took home the G-MAC North Division title as well as the G-MAC Tournament title.
