Softball Sends Five Players To CSC Academic All-District Honors

MIDLAND, MICH. – Five student-athletes from Northwood University's softball team have earned Academic All-District honors from the College Sports Communicators (CSC) (May 26).

Seniors Ashlyn Lundquist and Ashley Ziel were joined by juniors Meridith Frey and Gage Lambert, as well as sophomore Dalaney Gage, who were all recognized for their accomplishments both on the field and in the classroom.

Student-athletes must be a starter or key reserve with at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average. Position players must compete in at least 90 percent of their team's games or start at least 66 percent of the team's contests. Pitchers must log a minimum of 35 innings pitched or make at least 17 appearances in the circle.

The 2026 Academic All-District® Softball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.
