The 1991 volleyball team had the best finish at a national event for any women’s team in school history, placing third at the NAIA Championships. The team set a school record for victories, finishing the season with a 36-10 record. Northwood won their ninth straight NAIA District 23 Championship and went on to defeat Mount St. Joseph to claim their fifth straight Bi-District XIV Championship. Cindy Choban was selected Second Team All-American, while Michelle Williams was named an Honorable Mention All-American. The team featured three individuals who have been inducted to the Northwood Hall of Fame: Williams (Class of 2008), Choban (Class of 2017) and head coach Kevin Fegan (Class of 2019).
