Bio

The 2005 Softball team registered one of the greatest turnarounds in Northwood University athletics history. A year after winning 14 games overall and going 3-15 in the GLIAC to place last in the conference, the 2005 team earned 34 wins while going 14-6 in league play to take home the first conference championship in school history. The Timberwolves also made the first appearance in the NCAA Tournament in school history, advancing all the way to the Midwest Regional final before falling to undefeated Northern Kentucky. Northwood Hall of Famer Lisa Shepard (Class of 2014) was a dominant force in the circle for the Timberwolves. Heather Bruder was the second coach in school history to earn GLIAC Coach of the Year, while Julie Olson became the first Timberwolf to earn GLIAC Freshman of the Year honors.
