Sam Jones was one of the top players on some of the best teams in Northwood history. He finished his career ranking first in program history with 256 steals and third with 414 assists. Jones also ranks 16th in program history with 1,384 points. He holds two of the top three single season steal totals in Northwood history, finishing with 74 in 1999-2000 and 72 in 1998-99. His 163 assists in the 1998-99 season is the third-most for a player at Northwood. In the first three years of his career, Northwood posted 58 victories, the best three-year stretch in school history. Jones was a key part of two GLIAC North Division Championships and the NCAA Tournament team in 1998-99.
