RECAP: The Division 3 hockey team wins both games against Aquinas over the weekend, winning 3-2 in overtime at home on Saturday evening (January 17), followed by a 4-0 win away on Sunday afternoon (January 18). 

GAME ONE HIGHLIGHTS 

  • Aquinas jumped out to an early lead with two goals in the first period. Northwood answered before the break when Konnor White scored, assisted by Luke Ciciretto and Aidan Schultz, to make it 2–1. 

  • Neither team was able to break through in the third period, sending the game overtime. 

  • In the extra frame, Connor Stempky scored the game-winner for Northwood after a setup from Kennedy and Aidan French, securing a 3–2 overtime victory.

GAME TWO HIGHLIGHTS 

  • Northwood opened the scoring in the first period as Cade Sanborn found the net, with Sebastiano Iavasile and Kennedy recording assists to give the Timberwolves a 1–0 lead. 

  • The Timberwolves broke the game open in the second period with three goals. French scored first with help from Luke Ciciretto, followed by a goal from Kennedy off assists from Iavasile and Sanborn. Colton LaRose capped the period with a goal set up by Connor Stempky, pushing the lead to 4–0. 

  • Both teams generated chances in a scoreless third period, and Northwood went on to secure the 4–0 victory.
