Kate Dornbos has accepted the position of head athletic trainer at Northwood University. After joining the Sports Medicine Staff in 2012, she is now in her eighth year at Northwood.
Dornbos previously served as an Athletic Trainer at Western Michigan for four years after earning her Master’s Degree at WMU. She was also the head athletic trainer at Allegan High School as a graduate assistant.
From 2003-05, Dornbos worked for Registered Physical Therapists in Salt Lake City, Utah, as an assistant athletic trainer at the rehabilitation clinic. In the afternoons, she was in charge of athletic training at Jordan High School.
Dornbos was an All-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association selection in soccer at Hope College, where she also worked in the athletic training department.
Dornbos currently lives in Midland with her wife Robin Jones.
