Tyler Sager Named G-MAC Pitcher of the Week
MIDLAND, MICH. – Tyler Sager, a junior on the Northwood University baseball team, has been named the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week Monday (April).
He is the second Northwood player to earn a baseball weekly honor this season, joining Brendan Hammer (March 17).
Sager tossed a no-hitter in the opening game of Northwood's series against Lake Erie, leading the Timberwolves to an 11-0 victory over the Storm. He walked three while striking out seven. Sager is the first Northwood baseball pitcher to toss a complete game no-hitter since Max Bain in 2019. NU's last combined no hitter was in 2021.
Northwood is 25-11 overall, 19-1 in the G-MAC this season. The Timberwolves will travel to Grand Valley State Tuesday (April 15). Game time is set for 3 p.m.
