Baseball Earns Sixth Seed At NCAA Midwest Regional #2

NCAA ANNOUNCEMENT

MIDLAND, MICH. – The Northwood University baseball team has been named the sixth seed for the upcoming 2025 NCAA Midwest Regional Tournament.

This marks the eight straight time the Timberwolves have earned a bid to the NCAA Championships, dating back to 2017. NU had never reached the event prior to this streak. It is the longest current streak in the Midwest Region and the third longest current active streak in Division II (Tampa – 24 straight, Colorado Mesa – 15 straight).

The brackets were announced Sunday night (May 11) by the NCAA. Each of the eight regions will host tournaments, with the winners of each region advancing to the Division II World Series May 30-June 7 in Cary, North Carolina.

Northwood will take on third-seeded Lewis in the opening round. The game will take place Thursday (May 15) at 2 p.m. at Grand Valley State. GVSU, the No. 2 seed, will face No. 7 Missouri S&T at 11 a.m.

The Midwest Regional is split into two locations, with the top-seeded Davenport hosting fourth seed UIndy and fifth seeded Ashland on the other side of the region.

The schedule for the event will be announced soon.
