Evan Kavalick Name G-MAC Baseball North Division Player of the Week

Evan Kavalick, a freshman catcher on the Northwood University baseball team, has been named the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Baseball North Division Player of the Week.

It is the first time in his career Kavalick has earned Player of the Week honors.

Kavalick hit .563 in five games last week for Northwood, finishing with two home runs and eight RBIs while starting all five games at catcher. He finished the week with a .650 on-base percentage and a 1.125 slugging percentage. Kavalick had at least one hit in all five games and had an RBI in four of the five contests.

Northwood will host Saginaw Valley in a doubleheader at Dow Diamond Tuesday (April 31).  First pitch is set for 3:35 p.m.
