Former Timberwolf Dominic Mauro Selected By Athletics In MLB Draft
MIDLAND, MICH. – Former Northwood University pitcher Dominic Mauro has been drafted by the Athletics in the 2026 Major League Baseball draft.
The A's took Mauro in the 10th round with the 291 overall pick.
Mauro spent the first two years of his collegiate career with Northwood. He earned eight wins and three saves. In 2025, Mauro finished with a 3.02 ERA, striking out 48 in 44 2/3 innings of work.
Last season, Mauro was a member of the University of Cincinnati baseball team, making 21 appearances out of the Bearcat bullpen. He had five saves, striking out 43 in 41 innings of work.
Mauro is the fourth former Northwood player to be drafted in the last three years, joining Derek Clark (2024), Jake Jekielek (2024) and Cam Schuelke (2025).
