Alex George joined the Northwood coaching staff in the fall of 2017 as a graduate assistant coach. George coached under Jordan Bischel for the 2017-18 season, and will continue with Coach Sabol for the 18-19 season, instructing outfielders and assisting with the hitters.

George played college baseball at Upper Iowa University as an outfielder for the Peacocks. While playing at Upper Iowa, George ended his career with the second highest hit total with 214 career hits.

In the summer of 2014 and 2015, Alex George had two stints in the Northwoods League with the Alexandria Blue Anchors and Thunder Bay Border Cats after his freshman and sophomore year.

A native of Bloomington, Minnesota, George graduated from Upper Iowa University in 2017 with a degree in Criminal Justice and Pre-Law. He is currently working on earning his MBA from the DeVos Graduate School of Management.
