Men's Basketball Picked To Finish Fourth In GLIAC Preseason Coaches Poll

2019-20 GLIAC Coaches Poll 

MIDLAND, MICH. -  The Northwood University men's basketball team was picked to finish fourth in the South Division of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Preseason Coaches' Poll, which the league released Wednesday (October 23).

Voting was done by the head coaches of the 12 teams around the GLIAC.

Davenport was picked to win the South Division with 61 points, followed by Ashland at 50.  Ferris State was picked to win the North Division with 55 points, followed by Parkside at 51 points.

In addition, Northwood sophomore guard Ja'Kavien Lewis was named to the GLIAC Preseason All-Conference South Division team. He was named the conference Freshman of the Year a year ago when he averaged 12.3 points and 6.1 assists per game

Northwood will opens its season with an exhibition home game against St. Francis (Indiana) Friday (October 25) at 5:30 p.m. NU will open its season at Bellarmine November 8 at 8 p.m.
