RECAP: Second half costs Northwood men's basketball in an 87-75 loss to Lake Erie Thursday night (January 2).

GAME STORY

• Northwood held the early advantage, going up 10-5 at the 15:24 mark.
• The Storm fought back to take a 24-18 lead with 9:48 remaining in the half.
• LEC led 32-27 with 4:50 to go in the first when the Timberwolves finished strong.  NU finished the first on a 16-5 run to take a 43-37 lead at the break.
• The opening half was close throughout – both teams led by no more than six. There were eight ties and five lead changes.
• Northwood pushed their lead to as many as nine early in the second before the Storm responded. A 16-4 run for Lake Erie gave the Storm a 56-53 lead. at the 12:58 mark.
• The LEC lead was 64-62 when the Storm made the final push to earn the win. Lake Erie put up 13 of the next 18 points to take a 77-67 lead.
• Northwood got no closer than seven the rest of the way.
