GAME STORY

  • The first half was tight throughout. The largest lead for either team was 11-5 for Kentucky Wesleyan four minutes into the game.
  • Northwood took its first lead since it was 2-0 at 27-26 with 6:43 remaining in the first half.
  • NU led by as many as four before the Panthers on a 9-2 run to give KWC a 35-32 lead at the break.
  • Kentucky Wesleyan led 42-41 when KWC posted the first significant run of the night, scoring 14 of the next 16 points.
  • The advantage stood at 62-49 with under six minutes remaining when Northwood fought back. A 16-4 run for the Timberwolves cut the Panther lead to 66-65 with 1:36 remaining.
  • The Timberwolves were unable to score for the rest of the game, however, as the Panthers put up the final three points to earn the win.
