Parker Day Named G-MAC Men's Basketball Athlete of The Week
MIDLAND, MICH. – Parker Day, a senior on the Northwood University Men's Basketball team, has been named the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Athlete of the Week, the league announced Monday (December 1).
Day averaged 24.5 points, 10.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.5 steals in a pair of wins for Northwood last week. He shot 50.0 percent from the floor (14-28), 3-6 from 3-point range (3-6) and 100 percent from the foul line (18-18). In Northwood's win over Kuyper, he had 18 points and eight rebounds, going 5-8 from the floor, 2-3 from 3-point range and 6-6 from the foul line. Day followed with the best performance of his career in a victory over Roosevelt, finishing with a personal-best 31 points and 12 rebounds while going 12-12 from the foul line. He had a double-double by halftime of the game (15 points, 10 rebounds).
Northwood will open G-MAC play at Tiffin Thursday (December 4). Game time is set for 7:30 p.m.
