Philip Ferro is in his first season as an assistant coach at Northwood. He joined Lonnie Griffin's staff in the fall of 2021. He will serve as an assistant coach and as the video coordinator for the Timberwolves.

“Phil will be a very big assets to our program," said Griffin. "His knowledge of the conference will help him hit the ground running.”

Ferro served as a student coach for the Saginaw Valley women's basketball program from September of 2018 through March of 2021. He had a variety of roles for the Cardinals, which included working with Synergy on game and practice footage. He also developed and ran workouts with the SVSU Cardinals along with other administrative duties.

Ferro has also been involved with PGC Basketball as a Basket Instructor since 2017.

A native of Gibraltar, Michigan, Ferro graduated with degree in Business Administration in Management from SVSU. He was a five-time Deans' list honoree.
