Men's Golf Ties For 10th At GLIAC Fall Event

The Northwood University men's golf team tied for 10th at the GLIAC Fall Event Monday afternoon (September 24).

The two-day, 36-hole event was held at the Hawkshead Golf Club. The course played as a 7,003 yard, par 72.

Northwood shot matching team scores of 308 to finish at 616. Wayne State was the overall winner at 594, followed by Saginaw Valley State at 599.

Senior Blair Turner (Midland, Mich.) led the way for Northwood. He tied for third overall with rounds of 72 and 75. He finished three shots behind medalist Bryan Ratterman of Bellarmine (72-72=144). Junior Bruce Eccleton (Saginaw, Mich./Mott CC) tied for 17th at 150 (75-75).

Northwood will travel to the NCAA Fall Regional #1 Sunday and Monday (September 30-October 1).
