Men's Golf Competes At The The Third NCAA Regional

The Northwood University men's golf team placed 15th at the third NCAA Regional Saturday and Sunday (April 6-7). 

The two-day, 36-hole event was held at the Cherry Blossom Golf Course in Georgetown, Kentucky.  The course played as a 6,842 yard, par 72.

Northwood shot team scores of 302 and 318 to finish at 620 overall.  Missouri-St. Louis was the overall winner at 572, followed by Ferris State at 595.  A total of 24 teams played in the tournament.

Bruce Eccleton (Saginaw, Mich./Mott CC) and Robert Marsh (Bay City, Mich./Delta College) led the way for Northwood.  The duo finished with a two-round total of 152 to tie for 35th overall.  Eccleton shot rounds of 75 & 77, while Marsh carded scores of 74 & 78.   A total of 120 players competed in the event.

Northwood will compete at the fourth NCAA regional tournament April 14-15.
