Men's Golf Finishes 20th At Midwest Regional

The Northwood University men's golf team finished the fall portion of their schedule by placing 20^th at the NCAA Midwest Regional Tuesday afternoon (October 15).

The two-day, 36-hole event was held at the Fox Run Golf Club in Eureka, Missouri.

Northwood shot team scores of 312 and 324 to finish at 636 overall.  Malone was the overall winner at 575, followed by Missouri-St. Louis at 594.  A total of 23 teams took part in the event.

Leading the way for Northwood was senior Gilles Medale (Valence D'Agen, France). He carded rounds of 78 and 76 to finish at 154, good for a tie for 42^nd overall.  Matt Benson (Grand Ledge, Mich.) and Matt Garland (Battle Creek, Mich./Lakeview) both finished with a total of 160 to tie for 78^th. A total of 115 players competed at the event.

Northwood will resume their season in the spring of 2014.
