Men's Golf Finishes 18th At The Jewell
BATAVIA, OHIO - The Northwood University men's golf team placed 18th at the Jewell at Elks Run Tournament Saturday and Sunday (April 5-6).
The two day event was held at the Elks Run Golf Club. The course played as a par 71 at 6,673 yards.
Northwood shot team scores of 314 and 309 to finish at 623 overall. Malone was the overall winner at 578, followed by Ferris State at 596. A total of 29 teams competed at the event.
Matt Benson (Grand Ledge, Mich.) and Bruce Eccleton (Saginaw, Mich./Mott CC) led the way for Northwood. They both finished with two-round totals of 153. Robert Marsh (Bay City, Mich./Delta College) was one stroke behind Eccleton and Benson at 154. A total of 145 players took part in the event.
Northwood will compete at the fourth NCAA Regional tournament April 13-14.
