Men's Lacrosse Falls 21-13 At Quincy In Return To Action

RECAP: Northwood men's lacrosse returned to action after a 25-year varsity hiatus on Tuesday (February 11). The Timberwolves battled Quincy on the road before falling 21-13 in their 2025 season opener.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- The Hawks jumped out to a 2-0 lead seven minutes into the game, scoring at the 11:27 and 8:00 marks.
- Northwood answered with their first goal of the season behind Drew Lockwood's rip into the bottom left corner, 1-2 QU.
- Both teams exchanged goals as the Hawks held a 3-2 lead into the final minute of the first quarter. Northwood scored two behind a net ripper from Cole Williams with 22 seconds left before Andrew Rogers scored a last-second goal to give Northwood the 4-3 lead after one.
- Quincy's offense found their flow in the second quarter, going on a 7-2 run over the first ten minutes, 10-6 QU.
- The Timberwolves, behind another Rogers goal, tried to halt the Quincy momentum, but Quincy went on a 4-2 to end the half.

- Quincy continued their momentum into the second half, extending their lead to 18-9.
- The Timberwolves finished the third quarter on a 3-0 run, scoring three times in the final 1:19 of action.
- Quincy held an 18-12 lead after three.
- Quincy's defense stiffened up for the final 15 minutes of game action, allowing just one more goal. The Hawks later pulled away for a 21-13 win in Northwood's return to action.
