MIDLAND, MICH. – The Northwood University men's lacrosse program has been picked to finish fourth in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC), according to the preseason coaches poll released Tuesday (January 27).
The Timberwolves totaled 83 points in the voting after their inaugural season of competition, which saw Northwood post a 5-9 overall record and earn the No. 6 seed in the G-MAC Tournament.
Reigning G-MAC champion Seton Hill was selected as the conference favorite with 111 points and 10 first-place votes. Walsh followed in second with 101 points and one first-place vote, while Davenport was picked third with 87 points. Northwood edged Lake Erie (82 points) to claim the fourth spot.
Northwood returns a strong young core, highlighted by sophomore standouts Drew Lockwood and Andrew Rogers, who made an immediate impact during their freshman campaigns and will be key pieces for the Timberwolves in 2026.
The Timberwolves open the 2026 season on Friday, January 30, in a non-conference matchup against Lewis in Wixom, Mich., at the Toca Sports Center at 2 p.m.
