RECAP: Northwood men's lacrosse earned its first win of the 2026 season Saturday (February 21) afternoon, defeating the Quincy Hawks 17-11 at Dean Field. Northwood would take control early and never give it up. Northwood would take control early and never give it up.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- Northwood wasted no time taking control, opening the game with six unanswered goals in the first quarter. Andrew Rogers got the Timberwolves on the board at the 12:36 mark, while Ryder Mulvey scored three times in the period, including goals at 2:37 and 0:15 to cap the dominant opening frame.
- Quincy responded in the second quarter with four goals, but Northwood maintained separation behind goals from Jamison Geisler, Drew Lockwood, and Payton Allaire. The Timberwolves carried a 9-4 advantage into halftime after controlling possession and winning key faceoffs.
- Northwood pulled away in the third quarter, outscoring the Hawks 5-2. Rogers scored twice in the period, while Mulvey and Lockwood added goals during a decisive stretch that extended the lead to 14-6 entering the fourth.
- Quincy made a push in the final quarter, scoring five times, but Northwood answered with timely goals from Luke Ueland, MacKennan Tognetti, and Lockwood to close out the 17-11 victory.
