MIDLAND, MICH. – Five student-athletes from Northwood University's men's lacrosse team have earned Academic All-District honors from the College Sports Communicators (CSC).
Sophomores Ryder Mulvey, Niko Dilbone, and Jake Kowalkowski were joined by juniors Gabe Schmoll and MacKennan Tognetti, who were all recognized for their accomplishments both on the field and in the classroom.
Student-athletes must be a starter or key reserve with at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average and compete in at least 90 percent of their team's contests or start at least 66 percent of games played.
The 2026 Academic All-District® Men's At-Large Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.
Mulvey, an accounting major with a 3.98 GPA, was selected to advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot following an impactful sophomore season that included First Team All-G-MAC honors and a program-record 49 goals.
Northwood concluded the 2026 season with an 11-4 record, matching the program's best season in school history while earning its first-ever regional ranking and producing the program's first USILA All-Region selection.
