Men's Soccer Earns No. 2 Seed In Upcoming NCAA Tournament

MIDLAND, MICH. - The Northwood University men's soccer team has earned the No. 2 seed for the upcoming NCAA Regional Tournament.

The field was announced Monday night by the NCAA.

Northwood (16-1-1) is the number two seed in the region.  The Timberwolves will have home field advantage, taking on the winner of the first round match between third seeded Saginaw Valley State (14-3-1) and six seeded Indianapolis (12-4-3). The first round will kick off at 1 p.m. at Dean Field on Thursday (November 12), while NU will play in the second round at Noon on Saturday (November 14).

The Timberwolves won the school's first GLIAC Championship this season, before going on to win back-to-back GLIAC Tournament Championships with a 3-0 win over Lake Erie on Sunday (November 8).

Rockhurst (16-1-2) earned the No. 1 seed and the right to host No. 4 seed Cedarville (14-3-2) and Quincy (12-6-2) for the other regional play-in match.
