Galvez Jr. Selected To Play For Belize National Team In CONCACAF FIFA World Cup Qualifiers
BELIZE CITY, C.A. – Northwood University men's soccer player Wilfredo Galvez Jr. has been selected to play for the Football Federation of Belize - Belize Jaguars senior men's team while they compete in the Confederation of North, Central America, and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) FIFA World Cup qualifying matches this week (June 8-11).
Belize will play Nicaragua on Saturday (June 8) against Nicaragua's senior men's national team at 6 p.m. at FFB Stadium in Belmopan, Belize. They play again on Tuesday (June 11) versus Guyana in Barbados at Wildey Astro Stadium at 6 p.m.
A native of Punta Gorda Town, Galvez Jr. appeared in 20 games during his two years with the Timberwolves. He scored a goal while assisting one other this past season.
