MIDLAND, MICH. – The Northwood University men's tennis team defeated Findlay 8-1 Saturday afternoon (March 28).

The match was held at the Midland Community Tennis Center. Northwood improves to 8-2 overall, while Findlay falls to 7-6 with the loss.

NU picked up all three wins in doubles to take the early 3-0 advantage.

In singles, Northwood controlled play from positions except the top spot. NU's  won all six matches in straight-sets to clinch the victory.

For the match, Salikh Gilmutdinov (Kazan, Russia), Austin Woody (Midland, Mich. / Dow), Konstantin Zhukov (Kazan, Russia) and Felipe Crema Batistella (São José dos Campos, Brazil) all went 2-0 on the day to lead Northwood.

The Timberwolves will host Tiffin tomorrow (March 29) for a 10 a.m. match scheduled to be at ath Midland Community Tennis Center.
