Men's Tennis Defeats Lake Superior State
MIDLAND, MICH. – The Northwood University men's tennis team wrapped up the regular season with a 9-0 win over Lake Superior State Sunday (April 19).
Northwood finishes the regular season 12-4 overall, 7-2 in the GLIAC. Lake Superior State stands at 2-16 overall, 0-9 in the GLIAC.
Northwood posted three wins in doubles to open a commanding lead heading into singles. NU then earned six straight-set wins in singles to close out the match.
On the day, Sebastian Equez, Salikh Gilmutdinov, Austin Woody, Tanini Kader and Henrik Hellbe each went 2-0 for the Timberwolves.
Northwood will compete in the GLIAC Tournament April 24-26.
