Men's and Women's Tennis Each Ranked Seventh In Midwest Regional Rankings
MIDLAND, MICH. – The Northwood University men's and women's tennis teams are both ranked No. 7 in the NCAA Midwest Regional rankings, which were released Wednesday (April 22).
The top eight men's team and top seven women's teams will earn a bid to the NCAA Tournament. The women's tournament starts at regional sites Friday, May 8 while the men's tournament starts at regional sites Monday, May 11.
The men's team currently stands at 15-2 overall while going 7-1 in conference play. The Timberwolves are the No. 2 seed in the upcoming G-MAC Tournament and will take on the winner of the Findlay/Cedarville match in the semifinals Friday at 10 a.m.
On the women's side, Northwood is 15-4 overall, 8-1 in Great Midwest play. NU is also seeded second in the G-MAC Tournament and will face the winner of the Tiffin/Ashland match in the semifinals Friday at 2 p.m.
