Track & Field Has Three Athletes Earn Indoor All-America Honors

MEET: NCAA DII INDOOR CHAMPIONSHIPS
LOCATION: VIRGINIA BEACH, VA. – VIRGINIA BEACH SPORTS CENTER
RECAP: Dillan Haviland and Nathan Powers represented the Timberwolves' track & field on day one of the NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships. Both athletes earned All-America honors with their performances.
INSIDE THE MEET - DAY ONE
- Powers also earned First Team All-America honors for his throws during the weight throw. Powers advanced to the finals with a 19.98m toss. Later in the finals, he took seventh with a 20.05m throw, which marks Powers' second consecutive Indoor All-America honor of his career (19.91m - seventh (2021)).
- Haviland advanced to the mile finals following his 4:07.51 finish in heat two of the men's mile prelims. Haviland looks to earn First Team All-America honors in the finals, finishing in the top eighth of the nine runners in the finals.
RECAP: Dillan Haviland and Zechariah Stickler represented the Timberwolves' track & field on day two of the NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships. Both athletes earned All-America (AA) honors with finishes during the meet.
INSIDE THE MEET - DAY TWO
- Haviland earned himself First Team All-America honors, finishing fourth overall in the mile in 4:08.32. He advanced to the mile finals following his 4:07.51 finish in heat two of the men's mile prelims. His prelim time was the third-best amongst finals qualifying times.
- Stickler was able to gain Second Team All-America honors as he was able to finish eleventh overall via his best toss of 17.26m on his first attempt in prelims.
- Northwood collected two First Team AAs and a Second Team honor during the two-day championships.
- The three men's Northwood athletes aided in them earning a 32nd overall team finish with seven team points.
