Cross Country Teams Compete At Spartan Invitational
The Northwood Timberwolves cross country teams competed at the Spartan Invitational Friday afternoon (September 14).
No team scoring was taken at the event, which saw the men run an 8K event and the women race a 6K course.
The men's team was led by freshman Enock Rono (Eldoret, Kenya). He placed 64th overall with a time of 26:01. Marcus Rogers (Howell, Mich./Pinckney) wasn't far behind Rono, finishing 77th at 26:09. A total of 322 runners took part in the men's collegiate race.
On the women's side, Danielle Miller (Clinton Twp., Mich./Fraser) was NU's top finisher. She finished 104th overall with a time of 23:22. Freshman Jenny Frantz (Midland, Mich.) clocked a 23:44 to place 123rd. . There were 308 competitors in the women's collegiate event.
NU will host the Northwood Open next Saturday (September 22).
