Cross Country Teams Host NU Open

The Northwood University cross country teams hosted the NU Open Friday afternoon (September 21).

No team scoring was taken at the event, which was held on the Fisher Trails on the campus of Northwood University.

The men's race was won by Northwood freshman Enock Rono (Eldoret, Kenya). He turned in a dominating performance, clocking a time of 25:13.94. Marcus Rogers (Howell, Mich./Pinckney) placed second overall at 26:02.77. A total of 28 runners competed in the men's race.

Northwood also went 1-2 in the women's event. Junior Danielle Miller (Clinton Twp., Mich./Fraser) took the win with a time of 22:18.63. Freshman Jenny Frantz (Midland, Mich.) was second overall at 22:46.56. Twenty competitors took part in the women's race.
