RECAP: Northwood softball hosted (RV) Tiffin in midweek action Wednesday afternoon (March 26). Tiffin's early leads led to 9-0 and 7-2 wins in both matchups.

GAME ONE HIGHLIGHTS

• Tiffin took a 2-0 lead in the second via a two-run single to right field.
• A Dragon three-run homer in the third pushed the Tiffin lead to 5-0.
• Northwood's offense was quiet most of the afternoon. Northwood managed five base runners in the game.
• Tiffin added four more in the top of the seventh to break the game wide open. The Dragons later shut the Timberwolves out for the 9-0 final.

GAME TWO HIGHLIGHTS

• Game two started similarly to game one. The Dragons' potent offense opened the game with a three-run shot to center field.
• Two defensive miscues cost the Timberwolves big runs early as Tiffin tacked on four unearned runs later in the first. They held the 7-0 lead after one half inning.
• Northwood chased runs all afternoon, eventually scoring their first run of the day via an RBI triple from Ashlyn Lundquist. Saylar Cuthrell came around to score on the play, 7-1 TU.
• Ashley Ziel poked a single through the right side to give us the final of 7-2 in the seventh. Gabby Schloop would score on the play.
