RECAP: Northwood's softball team pushed their win streak to eight Monday afternoon (April 20), earning a sweep over Thomas More, winning 8-0 and 7-1.
GAME ONE HIGHLIGHTS
- Northwood jumped out early in the first inning as Delanie Gale tripled to score Brinley Eckerman before Ashley Ziel launched a two-run home run to center, giving the Timberwolves a 3-0 lead.
- The lead grew in the third when Jenna Kowalski delivered an RBI single up the middle to bring home Gale, 4-0 NU.
- In the fourth inning, Northwood capitalized on a Thomas More error, with Chloe Cooper reaching and Gage Lambert scoring to make it 5-0.
- The Timberwolves put the game away in the fifth as Kowalski blasted a walk-off three-run home run to center, scoring Ziel and Gale to secure the 8-0 run-rule victory.

- Still in the fourth, Delanie Gale launched a two-run home run down the left-field line, bringing home Meridith Frey to extend the lead to 5-0.
