Strong Weekend For Track & Field As Teams Split At GVSU And Ashland
OVERVIEW – MIKE LINTS ALUMNI MEET / JUD LOGAN LIGHTGIVER INVITATIONAL

RECAP: Northwood men's and women's track & field split competition over the weekend, competing at the Mike Lints Alumni Meet hosted by Grand Valley St. (February 7) and the Jud Logan Lightgiver Invitational at Ashland (February 6-7)
INSIDE THE MEET – FIFTH JUD LOGAN INVITE
FOR THE MEN
- Sophomore Diogo Vaz delivered one of Northwood's top performances of the weekend, placing second in the 400m with a 48.11 PR. His mark cleared the NCAA Provisional mark and is currently the No. 33 mark in DII this season. It also ranks No. 3 in program history.
- Vaz also added a 22.13 in the 200m, while Chase Burston followed closely in 22.14.
- Northwood saw a strong showing in the mile, as Caleb Palmreuter placed second in 4:10.77 PR and Matt Grindrod took fourth at 4:12.51.
- The Timberwolves also earned a runner-up finish in the first Distance Medley Relay race of the year, with Palmreuter, Parker Strelecki, William Haw, and Grindrod combining to run 9:57.76. This would be the second-best mark in the conference this season behind the team that won the meet, Ashland (9:51.94).
- In the 800m, Haw ran 1:53.59 to take sixth, and Strelecki posted 1:55.61, taking tenth.
FOR THE WOMEN
- Junior Breanna Hyde placed fourth in the elite long jump section with a mark of 5.36m.
- Keiyera Johnson ran 26.52 in the 200m and 9.45 in the 60m hurdles. Hyde also competed in the hurdles, running 9.77.
- Freshman Angela Porter cleared 1.42m in the high jump.

FOR THE MEN
- Sophomore Nick Ball led the Timberwolves in the field events, placing fourth in the shot put with a mark of 14.62m and fifth in the weight throw at 16.86m. His shot put mark is the furthest for a Timberwolf this season.
- Freshman Reagan Page cleared 4.10m in the pole vault.
- On the track, Carson Daniel paced Northwood in the 400m with a time of 52.01. Jacob Messing (52.09) and Max Danley (52.16) followed.
- Junior Alex Meszaros competed in the mile, finishing in 4:26.28, while freshman Caleb Robinson ran 9:24.96 in the 3000m invite.
FOR THE WOMEN
- Sophomore Kaylee Locke turned in a strong sprint double, placing second in the 200m with a 26.72 PR and later running 59.79 in the 400m. Junior Brooklyn Wolcott followed in the 400m at 1:00.56, while Nava Sanocki ran 1:02.97.
- In the 60m, senior Vivian Williams posted a time of 8.31 and later ran 27.52 in the 200m A section. Sanocki also ran 27.85 in the 200m.
- Northwood had three entries in the 3000m, led by senior Riley Hacker, who placed third in 11:21.02. Hattie Veenkant finished fourth at 11:24.10, while freshman Danica Aldrich ran 11:29.35.
- Erica Klee represented Northwood in the mile, finishing in 5:45.87.
