Timberwolves Close Regular Season with Strong Performances Across Three Last Chance Meets

RECAP: Northwood Track & Field competed across three meets during the final weekend of the regular season, including marks at the Harrison Dillard Twilight, Len Paddock Open, and GVSU Last Day Meet.
INSIDE THE MEETS
BW HARRISON DILLARD TWILIGHT
- Matt Grindrod led the Timberwolves at Baldwin Wallace with a third-place finish in the men's 3000m steeplechase, crossing in 9:21.25.
- Logan Roka added a performance in the 800m (1:59.74), while Keegan Masters competed in the 5000m and finished in 15:32.55.
LEN PADDOCK OPEN
- Northwood's sprint relay squad also turned in one of its top performances of the outdoor season. The quartet of Chase Burston, Arthur Powell IV, Andrew Braman, and Blake Vier placed fourth in the 4x100 relay with a season-best time of 40.76, ranking No. 51 nationally in Division II. The mark is the third-best time in program history.
- Noah Retford recorded a personal best in the 400m hurdles, finishing in 54.44. The eighth-best mark in program history.
- Luke Eros placed third in the hammer throw with a mark of 61.48m, while Andrew Lake added an eighth-place finish in the long jump (6.33m).
- On the women's side, Breanna Hyde placed fifth in the long jump with a mark of 5.32m.
GVSU LAST DAY MEET
- Breanna Hyde closed the weekend with a personal best, improving her own program record performance in the women's triple jump at Grand Valley St. The junior finished runner-up in the collegiate division with a mark of 11.06m.
- Northwood closed the weekend with several strong performances, including another improvement from the men's 4x100m relay team. The quartet of Chase Burston, Arthur Powell IV, Andrew Braman, and Blake Vier ran 40.53 to finish fourth overall and move to No. 36 nationally in NCAA Division II and No. 2 in program history.
- Vier led the hurdles group, winning his preliminary heat in the 110m hurdles with a 13.95 before finishing seventh in the final (14.67). Caleb Walker added a fifth-place finish in the 400m hurdles (53.61), while Noah Retford recorded a personal-best 54.30.
- In the throws, Luke Eros placed eighth in the invitational discus with a mark of 50.98m (167-3), while Omari Hairston took sixth in the invitational shot put with a throw of 16.52m (54-2.5).
- Andrew Lake finished the week for the Timberwolves, placing fifth in the triple jump with a mark of 13.54m.
