Maeve St. John Named G-MAC Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week

G-MAC ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

MIDLAND, MICH. – Maeve St. John, a senior on the Northwood University women's basketball team, has been named the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week Monday (November 24).

St. John averaged 28.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4.5 steals in a pair of games for Northwood last week. She shot 55.2 percent from the floor (16-29) while going 21-21 from the foul line. St. John finished with 25 points and eight rebounds and three steals in Northwood's 88-84 overtime loss to No. 24 Ferris State. She then had a career-day in Northwood's 88-70 win over Lewis, finishing with 32 points and six steals, both of which were personal-bests. St. John went 16-16 from the foul line, the most made free throws without a miss for any Division II women's basketball this season. Her 32 points are the eighth-most in Northwood history. St. John currently leads the G-MAC in scoring (22.8 ppg), free throws made (35) and free throw percentage (94.6).

Northwood (3-1) hosts Wayne State Wednesday (November 26). Game time is set for 2 p.m.
