GAME STORY

  • The opening quarter of the game was tight throughout, with the largest lead for either side standing at four points.
  • Findlay held a 14-12 lead after 10 minutes of play.
  • The game was a defensive battle through the opening 16 minutes of the game, as the score stood at 20-20 with four minutes to go before halftime.
  • The Oilers offense found some life, scoring seven straight points in just 1:11 to open up a 27-20 lead.
  • UF eventually led 29-24 at the break.
  • Findlay's zone defense made it tough for the Timberwolves in the opening half, as the Timberwolves were 11-32 from the floor and 2-10 from 3-point range in the first two quarters.
  • Findlay took their biggest lead of the day at 38-29 with 7:30 to go in the third.
  • Northwood chipped away at the lead the remainder of the quarter, going on to score nine of the final 11 points to take the lead 50-49 heading to the final quarter. It was NU's first lead since the first period.
  • The Timberwolves scored the first four points of the fourth and did not look back. Findlay got no closer than three the rest of the way.
  • Northwood out-scored Findlay 22-12 in the fourth to earn an 11-point victory.
