Women's Basketball Earns Important 52-46 Road Win At Malone

RECAP: Northwood women's basketball wins its seventh straight game, claiming an important 52-46 road win over Malone Thursday night (February 5).
GAME STORY
- After Malone scored the first two points of the game, Northwood dominated the remainder of the opening quarter. The Timberwolves scored the next 16 points to hold a 14-point lead with under two minutes remaining in the first.
- NU led 16-4 after one period.
- The Timberwolves led 20-7 early in the second when the Pioneers started to fight back. Malone scored nine straight points to get within four at 20-16.
- Northwood went on to hold a 27-21 lead at halftime.
- The Pioneers took their first lead since the opening quarter late in the third at 37-35.
- MU was on top 40-39 heading to the final quarter.
- Malone was on top 42-41 when the key stretch of the game occurred. Northwood outscored the Pioneers 7-0 to go up 48-42.
