Women's Basketball Earns First WBCA National Ranking In Program History

WBCA DIVISION II TOP 25 POLL

MIDLAND, MICH. – For the first time in program history, the Northwood University women's basketball team has been ranked in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Top-25 poll.

After multiple weeks being listed as the first team out of the poll, the Timberwolves are No. 23 in the rankings this week. NU is one of four teams from Midwest Region in this week's rankings – Grand Valley State (#2), Ferris State (#16) and Northern Michigan (#24). Missouri-St. Louis, Malone and Wayne State are all receiving votes.

Northwood is the No. 3 seed in the upcoming NCAA Midwest Regional Tournament. The Timberwolves will face sixth-seeded Malone in the opening round Friday (March 13) at Noon.
