The Northwood University women's golf team placed sixth at the Beall Classic Monday afternoon (October 8).
The two-day, 36-hole event was hosted by the University of Findlay. The tournament was held at the Findlay Country Club, which played at 5,844 yards (par 72).
Northwood shot team scores of 319 and 331 to finish at 659 overall, good for sixth place. Ferris State was the overall winner at 617, followed by Grand Valley State at 618. A total of 15 teams took part in the event.
The Timberwolves were led by senior Brittany Davidson (Mississauga, Ont.), who shot rounds of 77 and 78 to a two-round total of 155. That was good for a tie for seventh overall. Amee Cox (Liverpool, England) totaled 161 (77-84) to finish 19th. A total of 89 players competed at the event.
