Women's Golf Places Fifth At GLIAC Championships

The Northwood University women's golf team finished fifth at the GLIAC Championships Sunday afternoon (April 28).

The three-day, 54-hole event was hosted by Tiffin University  at the Stone Ridge Golf Club.  The course played as a 5,919 yard, par 72.

Northwood shot team scores of 338-342-334 to finish at 1014 overall.   Grand Valley State was the overall champion at 943, followed by Ashland at 953. 

Emily Vergin (Milford, Mich.) led the way for the Timberwolves.  She carded rounds of 80-82-83 to finish at 245, good for a 12th place finish.  Brittany Davidson (Mississauga, Ont.) tied for 13th overall at 247 (84-83-80). A total of 52 players took part in the event.
