Women's Golf Places Ninth At Ashland

The Northwood University women's golf team placed ninth out of 15 teams at the Ashland Eagle Invitational Monday and Tuesday (October 9-10).

The Timberwolves shot team scores of 334 and 348 to finish at 682 overall.  Ashland was the overall winner at 631, followed by Ferris State (639) and Grand Valley State (645). A total of 15 teams competed at the event.

Leading the way for Northwood was redshirt freshman Grace Cannon (Liverpool, England).  She carded rounds of 82 and 83 to tie for 20th overall at 165.  Marlies Klekner-Alt (Ottawa, Canada/Newman U.) tied for 33rd at 171 (86-85). A total of 90 players competed at the tournament.

Northwood will finish its fall season at the Findlay Invitational October 20-21.
