MIDLAND, MICH. – The Northwood University women's golf team has earned a bid to the NCAA Super Regionals.
The competition will be conducted May 6-8. Each of the four super regional sites will consist of both team and individual competition conducted concurrently with 12 teams and 6 individuals from non-qualifying teams at each site. All participants will compete through the 54 holes of competition. The top four teams along with the top four individuals not with a team from each super regional will advance to the championships.
Northwood is the No. 9 seed in the 12-team East Regional event. The Timberwolves are one of four Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference teams to earn a bid (Grand Valley State, Northern Michigan, Wayne State).
Northwood has turned in one of the best seasons in program history. NU finished third at the GLIAC Championships, matching the best finish in school history. The Timberwolves currently sport at 320.32 team scoring average, the second best in school history.
